I lost my 5th-grade spelling bee by mixing up 's' and 'w.' Today, I try to have the right anwsers, just sometimes not the right letters.
Perfection is a bit overrated—having the right ideas definitely isn't.
My background in fine arts taught me that mistakes often lead to the best ideas. (It also taught me how to accurately draw naked people, but that's a different story.)
Now at the VCU Brandcenter, I'm focused on failing first to succeed better when tackling big questions and even bigger solutions.
